9/11 medics lost

Huit paramédics et TMUs en service ont été tués le 11 septembre 2001 :    

Ricardo Quinn, paramédic, FDNY EMS    

Carlos Lillo, paramédic FDNY EMS    

Keith Fairben, paramédic, hôpital presbytérien de New York    

TMU Mario Santoro, Hôpital presbytérien de New York    

TMU Mark Schwartz, Hunter Ambulance    

TMU Yamel Merino, Ambulance MetroCare    

TMU Richard Allen Pearlman, Corps d'ambulance volontaire de Forest Hills     TMU David Marc Sullins, hôpital Cabrini

Trois autres paramédics/TMUs, qui n'étaient pas en service, sont morts le 11 septembre.

Jeff Lyal Simpson, un bénévole SMU de longue date en Virginie, ne travaillait pas comme fournisseur SPU le 11 septembre, mais était dans la ville en tant que chef de projet pour mettre en place un nouveau système informatique.

Mohammad Salman Hamdani, un TMU qui, selon le New York Times, s'était porté volontaire comme TMU pendant un an et était également membre du corps de cadets de la police de New York, a été tué le 11 septembre. Selon un article de Wikipédia, Hamdani était en route pour travailler à l'Université Rockefeller, mais après l'attaque, il s'est rendu sur les lieux pour aider. Son corps, identifié par correspondance ADN, a été retrouvé avec sa trousse médicale et ses pièces d'identité dans les décombres de la tour Nord.

Le sergent Mitchell Scott Wallace a été tué dans les attaques alors qu'il exerçait ses fonctions d'officier de justice du système judiciaire unifié de l'État de New York. Wallace était également TMU du Bayshore Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Three other EMTs, who were not on duty, died on 9/11.

Jeff Lyal Simpson, a long-time EMS volunteer in Virginia, was not working as an EMS provider on 9/11, but was in the city as a project manager setting up a new computer system.

Mohammad Salman Hamdani, an EMT who was reported by the New York Times to have volunteered as an EMT for a year and was also a member of the NYPD Cadet Corps, was killed on 9/11. According to a Wikipedia article, Hamdani was on his way to work at Rockefeller University, but after the attack, went to the scene to help. His body, identified with DNA match, was found with his medical bag and identification in the North Tower rubble.

Sergeant Mitchell Scott Wallace was killed in the attacks while working in his capacity as New York State Unified Court System court officer. Wallace was also Bayshore Volunteer Ambulance Corps EMT.
